The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIITN), an Institution of National Importance, has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Graduate and Technician Apprentices for the financial year 2026-27. A total of 17 vacancies have been announced for disciplines including Library Science, General Stream Graduates, AI, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. IIITN Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must ensure they meet the following eligibility criteria before appearing for the Walk-in-Interview.
Educational Qualification
- For Library Science Graduate (01 Post): A Master Degree in Library Science / Bachelor of Library & Information Science (B. Lib) from a recognized University.
- For General Stream Graduates (13 Posts): A Degree in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from a recognized University.
- For AI Apprentice (01 Post): A Degree in BE / B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science & Analytics, Human Computer Interaction & Gaming Technology, or related branches.
- For Technician (Civil/Electrical) (02 Posts): A Diploma in Engineering or Technology in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized board. (BE/BTech candidates can also apply, but engagement rules will be as per BOAT guidelines).
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates must have passed the final qualifying semester on or after 1st April 2021.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, are not eligible.
- Reservation guidelines for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS & PwD will be strictly followed as per Apprentices Act.
IIITN Apprentice Stipend 2026
Selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend during their one-year apprenticeship. The stipend is shared equally by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) and IIIT, Nagpur.
