Assistant Professor (General Disciplines)
Either of the following:
Option A:
- Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/differently abled/Ph.D. degree holders who obtained their master’s degree before 19th September 1991) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University, AND
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET
- Ph.D. degree holders (as per UGC Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree Regulations 2009 or 2016) may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET, subject to conditions such as evaluation by external examiners, an open Ph.D. viva-voce, and publication/presentation of research papers, duly certified by the Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs) of the concerned University
Option B:
- Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign University/institution ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU – Shanghai) at any time
Assistant Professor (Music)
Same as Option A/B above for the relevant subject, OR a traditional and professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement who has studied under noted/reputed traditional masters/artists, holds an “A” grade artist rating of AIR/Doordarshan, can explain the logical reasoning of the subject, and has adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in the discipline.
Assistant Professor (Computer Application)
Master’s degree in a relevant subject with at least 60% marks (55%/50% relaxation for SC/ST/differently abled/Ph.D. degree holders who obtained their master’s degree before 19th September 1991) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University, along with NET/SLET/SET (or Ph.D. exemption subject to conditions), OR a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 world universities (QS/THE/ARWU).
