UPSC ESE Vacancy 2025 Out

The Union Public Service Commission has announced approximately 474 vacancies to be filled through the ESE 2026. This includes 26 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). The vacancies are distributed across four engineering disciplines as follows:

UPSC Engineering Service 2026 Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality:
A candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, or a person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries.

2. Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026):

  • A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years.
  • Age Relaxation is applicable as per government rules for SC/ST (up to 5 years), OBC (up to 3 years), PwBD (up to 10 years), and others.

3. Educational Qualification:
A candidate must have:

  • A degree in Engineering from a recognized university, or
  • Passed Sections A and B of the Institution of Engineers (India) examinations, or
  • An equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
