Eligibility Criteria for Assam University Faculty Recruitment 2026
Professor: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in the relevant subject along with a consistently good academic record and the minimum score in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) as prescribed under UGC Regulations 2018, along with the requisite years of teaching/research experience at the Associate Professor level or equivalent.
Associate Professor: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant subject with a good academic record and meet the UGC-prescribed API score along with the required years of teaching/research experience at the Assistant Professor level or equivalent.
Assistant Professor: Candidates must have a good academic record with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD under UGC relaxation norms) at the postgraduate level in the relevant subject, along with a Ph.D. or having cleared NET/SLET/SET as prescribed by UGC Regulations 2018. For professional posts under AICTE/NCTE/PCI regulation, the concerned regulatory body’s norms will apply.
A relaxation of 5% is available at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD candidates as per UGC Regulations 2018.

- Visit the official portal https://curec.samarth.ac.in and register with a valid email ID.
- Fill in the online application form carefully. Keep a digital photograph (JPG/JPEG/PNG, max 100 KB) and signature (max 100 KB) ready for upload.
- Complete all tabs of the application and click “Save and Proceed” after each section. Note that no changes can be made after final submission.
- Pay the applicable application fee online through the payment gateway.
- Download the PDF of the completed application form and take a printout.

Selection Process for Assam University Faculty Recruitment 2026
