Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess an ITI pass certificate in the relevant trade as mentioned in the vacancy table above (e.g., Fitter, Turner, Machinist/Machinist Grinder, Electrician/Wireman, Electronic Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Draughtsman (Mechanical), Welder, Plumber, Mason (Building Construction), etc.).

Note: Candidates should submit an online application for only one trade. Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961 in any Government/PSU/Private organisation are not eligible to apply.
IGCAR Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The applications will be shortlisted on the following basis:
- Candidate should possess an ITI certificate in the respective trade.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for training on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in their ITI course.
- In case of a tie in ITI marks percentage, candidates with a higher percentage in 10th/8th standard will be placed higher on the merit list (8th class only for Welder, Carpenter/Wood Work Technician, Mason/Civil Mistry, Plumber).
- In case of a further tie, the candidate born earlier shall be considered.
- The selected list for each trade will be published on the IGCAR website.
- All shortlisted candidates are required to appear for Document Verification, failing which their candidature shall be deemed cancelled.
