RRC Eastern Railway Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates who are willing to apply must make sure they fulfill the required educational qualification along with the mandatory Scouts & Guides qualification.
Level-2 (Group ‘C’)
- Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from a government recognized Education Board/Council/Institution (the 50% criterion is relaxed for SC, ST, ESM, and PwBD candidates and candidates with a higher qualification from a UGC recognized university); OR
- 10th pass from a government recognized Board plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)/ITI approved by NCVT (a Diploma in Engineering is not considered an alternative higher qualification).
Level-1 (Erstwhile Group ‘D’)
- 10th Pass OR ITI OR Equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Scouting/Guiding Qualification (Mandatory for Both Levels)
- Candidates must be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR hold a Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) in any section.
- Candidates should have been an active member of a Scout Organization for the last 5 years, supported by a Certificate of Activeness.
- Candidates should have attended two events at National level/All India Railways’ level AND two events at State level.
