Allahabad High Court Research Associate Eligibility Criteria 2026
Essential Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have completed a 5-year or 3-year LLB degree in the Academic Sessions of 2024, 2025, or 2026 from any Law College or University recognised by the Bar Council of India. Candidates who appeared in the LLB Final Year Examination in 2026 and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Only those candidates who have secured 55% or more marks in their LLB examination are eligible.
Additionally, candidates must have working knowledge of Computer Applications including Data Entry, Word Processing, and similar computer operations.
Age Limit: Candidates must have completed 21 years of age and must not have completed 26 years of age as on 1st July of the calendar year of notification of vacancies.
Disqualification: Candidates involved in any criminal case, whether convicted or charge-sheeted, are ineligible. Candidates who have previously worked as Research Associates are also not eligible to apply again. A candidate having more than one living spouse, or married to a person who has a legally living wedded wife/husband, will also be ineligible.

The selection process is completed in three stages carrying a total of 100 marks, divided as follows:

Stage B – Screening Test (60 Marks)
The Screening Test involves writing a descriptive question paper of 60 marks. The duration of the test is 1 hour. The Screening Test and Interview are scheduled to be held on 8th August 2026 at Prayagraj.

The Interview Test is assessed out of 100 marks and carries a weightage of 20% in the final merit list. The marks are awarded as follows:
