UPSC Recruitment 2025 : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the UPSC Recruitment Notification 09/2025 to fill multiple vacancies, including 24 posts for Assistant Drugs Controller Botanist and Junior Scientific Officer. The official notification was released on July 11, 2025.

The online application process begins on July 12, 2025, and will remain open till July 31, 2025. Candidates can apply through the official website at upsconline.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria 2025

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess either:

• Master’s Degree in Biomedical/Chemical/Biotech/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Polymer/Computer Science/Medical Electronics Engineering, or Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine with Clinical Pharmacology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Life Sciences
  OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the above disciplines

Experience

• Master’s Degree Holders: 4 years experience in manufacturing/testing/regulation/designing of medical devices
• Bachelor’s Degree Holders: 6 years experience in the same field

UPSC 09/2025 Selection Process

The selection will be made based on shortlisting followed by an interview. In case of a high number of applicants, a Recruitment Test (RT) may be conducted. Final merit will be determined on the basis of the interview (or combined test + interview, if held).

Interview Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• UR/EWS: 50
• OBC: 45
• SC/ST/PwBD: 40
